Healthy Living Event to Support People With Autism

SEMINOLE, Fla. – Earth to Autism has partnered with Smart Healthy Living to provide wellness information geared for people with disabilities.

“Foundation for Healthy Living” takes place Saturday, July 21 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Seminole United Methodist Church at 5400 Seminole Blvd., Seminole, FL. The spirit, soul and body wellness conference is a special event to support families affected by disabilities. Scheduled to speak are Sara Im, author of How I Survived the Killing Fields: A Story of Hope, Love and Determination and owner of Smart Healthy Living; Nicole Dennison, holistic health expert and author; Jen Moyer, VOXX Socks representative and fall prevention expert; Arielle Giordano, author and movement expert; Sandra Read, cellular health advocate; and Leanne Scalli, founder of Earth to Autism.

Speakers plan to discuss the mission of Earth of Autism, finding hope in the middle of adversity, healthy nutrition that nourishes and energizes, cell signaling, and Essentrics and aging backwards. In addition, the event will include a panel discussion on self-care, social support of family and friends, and incorporating faith for difficult times. The panel discussion will be presented by Evelyn Mann, Linda Arroyo, Mary Jane Cronin and Taveesha Guyton.

“I am looking forward to this event to bring awareness to adults with autism who have difficulty keeping a job and supporting themselves,” said Scalli.

Besides the speakers, the event will have a health fair with vendors, door prizes, refreshments and health screenings. Tickets cost $12 per person for groups, $20 for single tickets.
